Bubble Browser for Evernote App Reviews

Wait for v2.0...

This version is cool, but Im reviewing the beta for 2.0 now and its vastly better -- a true bubble-oriented browser for your Evernote notes, with click-thrus back to Evernote so you can edit your notes, beautiful graphics, and nicely-rendered notes text. Get version 1.0.4 NOW so youll be ready for version 2.0 as soon as it comes out!

Creative, Fun, and has Serious Potential

Ill say this—Wow! its fun, quick, and has the potential to reinvent how people use Evernote. I dont have anything to say about any future utility fetures, I will say that more than one person wants the color scheme to be customizable. There also seems to be a lack of more specific toolbar functions. It is fun, buts too simplistic. This app is not, unless otherwise stated, for ten-year-olds. in other words, "Make it Smarter!"

Unpolished and Clunky

Unlike the Evernote app proper, this app is slower, uses clunky animations, isnt resolution aware (as demonstrated), and generaly feels more like a Beta. The dev also forces the focus of the intial slash screen over to the email sign-up window, which is placed infront of the login window. Nice font though.

Update crashes

This version crashes repeatedly on launch. Had no problem with the previous version.

You need this app!

This app is incredible, beautiful and useful at the same time. If youre Evernote addict (like I am) you definitely need it. I now use BubbleBrowser as my primary tool for note retrieval.

Evernote is Finally Beautiful!

I love Evernote for its functionality and flexibility, but I keep turning back to other notetaking apps and software because a UIs visual design really does matter to me. Call me shallow, but it just does. And Evernotes "look and feel" just isnt as intuitive, user-friendly or engaging as other products on the market for WIndows and Mac. When I saw this app, I was overjoyed! Ive played with it for about 10 minutes and it is WONDERFUL! Im one step closer to cutting off all my other notetaking apps and moving my whole world to Evernote. Thank you, Bubble Browser!

So much fun - intuitive and beautiful

Ive been using Evernote for years, but I love it even more now with Bubble Browser. Makes the whole experience more fun.

A powerful way to browse Evernote

I just finished giving members of my organization a demo of how I have used Evernote as a research tool for a project. Evernotes UI is primarily designed to make inputting & organizing data easy, and as part of the demo it was easy for me to show how simple it is to capture data in various ways and get it into Evernote and organize it once it was there… but.. there was an audience of individuals in this meeting who have tried Evernote and who continue to not get it.. I had downloaded Bubble Browser earlier this morning and brought it up. I was quickly able to capture their attention by showing how they could quickly search by term, tag, date to find relevant notes AND quantitative visuals allowing them to see trends and weightings across tags, notesbooks and dates. It quickly won over the room.

Great Data Visualization

Just updated to Mountain Lion in order to try Bubble Browser. Im already in love - what a great way to access your evernote data.

Broken. Do not download.

Installs and gives you the authorization screen and lets you click it. Launches browser and evernote authorization screen. Click, authorize then nothing, after trouble shooting for 30 minutes, I give up. Nice idea. Wish it worked.

Dont waste your time: still crashes on launch!

After authorizing this app to access my Evernote data the application window simply disappears. The application is still running but theres no window. I was hopeful the bug fixes with this latest release would make the app functional. In order to save time and disappointment with future non-functional updates, I guess its time to uninstall

I dont understand the point of this

There are bubbles. They move according to the view you ask for. Im not sure how that helps me.

useful add-on for Evernote

This is a great tool for delving into the wealth of Evernote notes Ive collected letting me clean up and clean out old notes, consolidate and eliminate tags, and to better see the connection between them.

return on investment

Like all of us, youve been sending stuff to Evernote and like all of us you are now beginning to feel a little like a hoarder, your "apartment" piled high with materials too numerous to read or file. Anything that helps you discover whats "in there," gives you a chance to recoup the investment you made putting it there. Bubble Browser does an elegant, intelligent job of this. Ten bucks is a small price to pay to ensure this ROI.

Helpful- Tell me I need to stack my tags for more coherence

I use it rather infrequently but will get more out of it when I get my tags better organized. I have a problem with the tagged notes section. Many of my tagged notes appear in the untagged bubble. mainly thats why I dont use it as much as I probably should. I am bluesman33 but your review section tell me that nickname is taken

2 out of 3

Its prett cool, but the Date Perspective could use a re think. If I am looking at my notes by date, I really don’t want a bunch of Bubbles floating around. I want something that has a relationship to time. There should be some order to it. Like a timeline. But other perspectives are quite good :-)

Great start

Its a great Evernote top level visualizer. If you could also develop an interactive mindmap view it would make it precious (see Mohio). Interactive meaning that you could move the nodes around and it would update the relationships into your evernote structure. Another feature would be to ad a time dimension to this so you could travel timemachine style and only see the notes with reminders at that date or a bubble lay out of notes that have reminders for the week, month.

Incredible if you have alot of notes. The potential is worth the price of admission alone

Even if you only have a few hundred or 4000+, this can provide a new visual perspective on how things are organized. Would love to see alternate view options for the middle note column and the ability to actually edit the notes from within Bubble Browser with the changes synced back to Evernote. Come to think of it, this is worthy of Evernote acquiring outright.

Gimmick, not useful

I was curious if this app would help me make better sense of documents related to common themes in my notes. it didn’t. e.g., I have a lot of notes related to a project on neuropathic pain. other than a vaguely interesting cluster by date, the app offered nothing to help me find notes within the topic of interest. the UI is complex, but there is also a lot of white space where useful information could be. not a fan. I want a refund.

Great visuals but need business data.

While I love the visualization of Evernote knowledge, I cannot use the app if it does not use Evernote for Business information. I will gladly rate a 5 star app if/when this is remedied...
